We highly recommend to choose FIOCCO, the pure virgin wool / raw cotton mattress designed on purpose to complete Babylodge^® bed range. FIOCCO is available in two variants: standard (31 ¹/₂ x 51 ³/₁₆ in – 80×130 cm) or XL (80 x 160 cm, in case of beds lengthened with extension kit). All 31 ¹/₂ x 52 in (80 x 130 cm) mattresses are anyways suitable (or 31 ¹/₂ x 63 in – 80 x 160 cm in case of usage with extension kit).

Slightly elevated from the floor thanks to five solid wood transversal reinforcements and external framework, the mattress-base is made of a beech plywood board. The board mattress-base (purposely not made of slats) ensures constant, and homogeneous support to the body, becoming the ideal backing for our FIOCCO mattress.

Designed as a modular element, it can be easily inserted/removed without any assembly/disassembly operations. This feature allows to:
– when the kid will grown up, use the bed structure for a different purpose  (i.e. play area, soccer goal, book alcove or design object), and turn the mattress-base into a wallboard;

No color variant is available. To enhance the raw material, our beds are made of evaporated solid beech wood only, with no paint or varnish added. As a consequence our beds come with original wood natural color.

Assembling Babylodge® floor beds is quick and easy. All models have been designed to be assembled by anyone in less than 5 minutes, with the aid of a common screwdriver.

Our extension kit are made of two types of elements: the crossbars’ extension and the mattress-base extension. The first ones can be mounted by inserting the connector into one end of the crossbars and screwing tight till end of stroke (no tool is needed). After having lenghtened all crossbars, you will need to (re)assembly the bed, insert the original mattress-base and, next to it, the base extension. The whole process can be completed in no more than 5 minutes.
